Teachers get ready for the race
GreenKarting school programme
The redesign.life GreenKarting school programme makes the future of technology attractive through electric racing. Within this program, young people learn in a fun and inspiring way how to build an electrically powered kart. With this kart they can race against other school teams. Next to that, to really make an impact, the redesign.life GreenKarting school programme uses a 360-degree approach. Enthusiastic guest speakers visit the schools to tell stories, students are allowed to visit technical companies and parents also receive information about the opportunities and future of technical studies.
Teachers' turn
After the launch of the GreenKarting school programme in November, it was up to the teachers of the participating VMBO schools to get acquainted with the GreenKarting school programme and get their hands ‘dirty’ with all the materials supplied.
For each participating school, a specific action plan was prepared, including an associated planning based on the existing rhythm and unique characteristics of the school. The flexibility and enthusiasm among all participants made for an inspiring afternoon.
Partners of the GreenKarting school programme
The redesign.life Foundation works together with the Consortium Beroepsonderwijs for the GreenKarting school programme. They are an experienced group of experts and responsible for the development and implementation of a sustainable online teaching package. A teaching package that can be adapted to every VMBO school in terms of complexity, available time, year of study and profile.
In addition, the ERA Cup is a partner of this program. This innovative race organization from Zonhoven, Belgium, recently launched the first fully electric junior formula race series under the name ERA Championship. ERA, which stands for Electric Racing Academy, is the racing brain behind all the parts needed for the electrically powered redesign.life Kart.
