Launching redesign.mobility:
We're off!
The redesign.life Foundation launched the new platform redesign.mobility during the annual JACK's Racing Day at the TT Circuit Assen. This event is the largest combined car, motorcycle, and kart racing event in Europe. Visitors had the opportunity to get acquainted with this platform that is 100% about accelerating the transition to sustainable mobility. Moreover, the initiative was associated with the event as a social partner.
Sustainable mobility is gaining prominence. The transition from fossil fuels to more sustainable alternatives also requires behavioral change, on multiple fronts. To drive that, the redesign.life Foundation has developed two concrete impact programs: the EV Roadshow and the GreenKarting schools program, which together form the redesign.mobility platform. Between the racing cars screeching across the asphalt and the roaring engines, the audience was introduced to redesign.mobility and the impact programs for the first time at TT Assen in mid-August.
Electric racing: that's how it feels
Visitors to the redesign.mobilty stand could get behind the wheel of the E-sim and race a Formula E on a simulated TT Assen circuit. In addition, visitors could experience a spectacular virtual pit stop during the VR pit stop game, admire the electric karts from the Greenkarting school program up close and take a seat behind the wheel. Extra special was the mock-up of a real Formula E car.
Speakers from the zero-emission practice
At the launch, talented racing driver Ellis Spiezia, the Royal Dutch Motor Sports Federation (KNAF) and teacher Geert Aben (participant in the GreenKarting schools program) shared stories and experiences from 'zero emission' practice. In addition, the Vereniging Elektrische Rijders (VER) gave visitors all the necessary information about electric driving, including facts, misconceptions, and advantages. TechPortal and Consortium Vocational Education were present to tell more about the GreenKarting schools program.
The 'next steps'
We look enthusiastically to the future, the launch is the starting signal of many wonderful things that will happen in the coming years: together with TechPortal the GreenKarting schools program will be rolled out and we will tour the Netherlands with the EV Roadshow. On to the acceleration of sustainable mobility!
