redesign.life visiting Nissan Formula E team
Nissan fully committed to Formula E electric racing class and sustainable mobility
The Nissan Formula E team is gearing up for its tenth season of Formula E, as well as getting ready to move to a revolutionary new facility near Paris. This move highlights the strong commitment of a global player like Nissan to electric car racing and the promotion of sustainable mobility, which fits seamlessly with the mission of the redesign.life Foundation. The foundation recently attended the launch of the Nissan Formula E team.
The event, which took place on Sept. 18 on the hallowed ground of the Le Mans 24-hour circuit, gave attendees an exclusive insight into the in-depth skills, expertise and knowledge required for success in Formula E. During the event, drivers Sacha Fenestraz and Oliver Rowland shared insights on their preparation for the upcoming season and revealed the exciting new design of their race cars. Through various workshops, everyone was able to experience for themselves what is involved in running a Formula E team. There was also an opportunity to race themselves on the track in the 100% electric Nissan Ariya. The event also offered the redesign.life Foundation an opportunity to introduce Nissan to the redesign.mobility mission and their shared passion for sustainable mobility.
Joint responsibility for acceleration in sustainable mobility
The redesign.life Foundation and Nissan share a joint responsibility for green innovation and environmentally friendly technologies. Peter-Paul Laumans, Founder of the redesign.life Foundation said, "It is great to see the commitment of Nissan and its employees to the important transitions towards a better world and sustainable mobility." This is reflected, among other things, in their mission to promote emission-free driving worldwide. Nissan is aiming for carbon neutrality by 2050. Moreover, they have ambitious plans to make all their new vehicles electric in key markets by the early 2030s. This news fits with the mission of the redesign.life Foundation, which is dedicated, among other things, to promoting sustainable mobility as a crucial step toward a greener future.
First Formula E race in Tokyo
Nissan is the only Japanese carmaker active in Formula E, and they are extremely proud that Tokyo will host its first Formula E race on March 30, 2024. This opportunity offers a unique chance to demonstrate the potential of electric mobility right in the heart of the city. The Nissan Formula E team continues to focus on high-quality research and development, including knowledge sharing between race and streetcar development.
